How many days since you have written an email ? I have been if it is cheaper to send mail by post than email ?
Email is faster in reaching now doubt, but if email will be opened and read by the recipient just like a mail by post.
Now the cost part. To send and receive email, you need few investments like a PC, Telephone Connection or broadband internet connection and also electricity. So, sending and receiving email may not be that cheap as one has thought! And receiver also pays for receiving email which is worst that mail post where receiver does not have to pay anything!
So, next time onwards, while sending Email, try to calculate how much you may be paying for sending and receiving. Also with mail by post, most probably you do not get spam.
