Living Poor is costly!

by admin on March 7, 2009

Yes, true, living poor is very, very costly.

Few things which you can buy in bulk, being poor you can not buy. A rich man would buy 50 soaps, 20 tooth brushes, 10 tooth paste. In the bargain, he would get healthy discount of 20%, saving of 20%. A poor will buy one of each above and will not get any discount. Also rich man does not have to go to the shops again to fetch these for long time to come, no longer to worry about.

A poor man will argue with drivers for auto fare ( in New Delhi where autos dont run on meters, but on bargain power) while coming to office for about Rs. 10/15/- extra fare. This result in some insulting remarks by the driver, makes the day bad for him and wastes precious office work time. A truck driver will not move aside his loaded truck in order to save the punctured tyre and parks his truck in middle of the road. Traffic jams take place, the driver saves Rs. 10000/- but causes loss of precious time, petrol, irritation which may be in crores.

Road conditions in poor countries are bad. This slows down traffic, causes people to be unpunctual, less working hour.

Living poor is costly, indeed.
