It is really become a intelligent, humorous and innovative idea for catching your flight when you are getting late for the flight! Timing has to be correct for that!
Well, specially when you are traveling by another public transport system who is running late! What you do to catch your flight then ? Well, you call up your air line call center and inform them you have overheard some bomb on that flight!
One Indian software engineer did that and found himself arrested by police. ( source ). Well, he got the timing incorrect! Presently, no one in India, and in the world, are going to tolerate this kind of innovation and frustration of getting late due to travel by public transport, specially after notorious 9/11.
