Once upon a Time, Pakistan Army, ISI were friends of Taliban in Afghanistan. And supporting Taliban was Pakistan’s state policy.

America also supported Taliban, specially against erstwhile USSR by supplying stinger missiles which did great damage to Russian MI-17s.

But one day, everything changed on 11 September 2001. America became enemy of Taliban. American souldiers spread out all over the world to find and liquidate Taliban and Al Qaida. Pakistan also started supporting America under pressure.

Recently Taliban has been attacking Pakistani cities and its security establishments with suicide bombers killing innocent civilians as well as military, police personal.

It all happened within 30 years. Can we call it poetic justice ?
